Double Digits!

Avery turned TEN and we had a great time celebrating her! I got some Happy Birthday donuts from a nearby donut place (not as cute or creative as the ones I used to get in Wylie, and a lot more expensive!) to take to her class, took her Chick Fil-A for lunch, then we went to an Italian place for dinner, and that weekend we had a party for her at Van Grow, an art studio for kids! Five friends from her new school came, plus Haylee and Cousin Sage from home (they stayed the night, and Aidan got to go spend the night with Haylee's brother Hayden!) and Aunt Kelly happened to be in town, so she came and my cousin Meredith did too with AJ's daughter Emma! This is a top ten list I wrote about her on Facebook:

1. She LOVES animals. 2. She inherited her mom’s athletic genes...bless her heart. 3. She loves writing and receiving notes. 4. She is a budding artist. 5. She’s a true Jolly girl and loves cooking (and eating!). 6. She didn’t talk until she was two when we put her in speech therapy...now she’s a chatterbox. 7. She wears her heart on her sleeve. Her emotions run hot and cold...rarely is she just “meh”. 8. She does things at her own pace and on her own time and not a minute sooner. 9. She has to work much harder than the average kid, but has an infectious positive attitude. 10. She has more love and affection for her family and friends more than any human being I have ever known. And the feeling is mutual!

Happy Birthday Avery!!!
