This and That

We took a mini-trip to Comanche to help celebrate Cookie's 70th birthday! It was bittersweet to be back in Gigi's house after she passed away last year. We also went to Daniel's grandparents' land one last time.

Avery and I took advantage of her having Presidents' Day off and went to see my cousin Tracey and her new baby Layla!

Avery and I went to see Kaelyn perform in her school's musical "The Wedding Singer." It was so cute and Kaelyn did terrific!

We had a cool view of Venus and Jupiter by the moon one night!

Valentine's Day

We celebrated Valentine's Day by doing our traditional progressive dinner with our neighbor friends! I was on the "drinks" crew and we also had appetizer, dinner, and dessert stops! It's always fun celebrating holidays with those guys! I was a Single Lady for most of the night since Daniel went to Aidan's playoff game which ended up being the same night...but he showed up for dessert!

Daniel and I also went out for date night on our own, and Aidan had a cute valentine of his own this year!

January

Daniel and I kicked off 2023 with a quick trip to Vegas just so he could rack up traveling points for status! We stayed at the Bellagio which was still decorated for Christmas, gambled, ate, and then flew back home!

Aidan stayed busy with basketball (including 2 games against GCA...one loss and one win) and had his football banquet where he was voted Most Improved by his coaches (cousin Logan was voted Most Improved for junior high!), and was recognized for winning District Honorable Mention for Offense!

Avery sang in her school choir's Disney dinner show which was so fun! Her choir sang a song from Tangled and there were some solos and duets that blew us away! She also got to see her friend Haylee at the GCA game!

The month ended with a crazy ice storm that cancelled school for 3 days! We all (including Griffin) stayed cozy by the fire and once when Summer and the cousins were over, they all got stir crazy and decided Aidan would look great with some braids!
