All About Avery

Avery had a choir concert preview before their UIL performance. Grandpa, Nanna, Papi, and Grammy all drove up from Waco to watch!

She also participated in the high school youth choir musical (Aidan operated the spotlights) and she is looking forward to going on the choir mission trip this summer!

All About Aidan

Aidan closed out a great basketball season and celebrated with his teammates at the basketball banquet. Next time he plays he'll be a senior!

He and I went on a college tour to Arkansas University and while it was a bit of a long drive (5 hours), we both loved it! Campus had a great feel and we also ran into his friend Cade who was also touring, and his football teammate Jake who will be a freshman there next year! A bonus for me was touring the Kappa Delta house with my friend's daughter Grace who just pledged. So fun!

He took a field trip with his class to the George W. Bush library, started spring training for football, and he and I did our last YMSL service project (Summer joined us!).

Last but not least, he turned 17! It was a very low-key birthday which is what he wanted!

Gamma

We lost our last grandparent recently, my beloved grandmother "Gamma." I have so many fun memories of her but the thing that I remember most is that she was a "grandkid ally"...she had my back whether it came to secretly scraping food off my place when my dad said I had to eat all my dinner, or pouring a bowl of my favorite cereal for me before Jason and my cousin Scott finished off the box just to be mean. I loved hearing her laugh and loved playing games with her, and EVERYONE loved her cooking! We are so happy that she's reunited in heaven with Pa but she will be so missed!
