Fun with Friends

Daniel and I both got to spend a lot of time with our buddies which is always fun!

I went with my friend Susan to see Jen Hatmaker, a blogger and speaker that we really like She came to Dallas to promote her book and she was so fun to see in person! She also brought her boyfriend Tyler Merritt who was really funny.

September This and That

We got to see Summer play volleyball when Oklahoma Christian came in town to play against UT-Dallas! OCU beat UTD 3-0 and it was so fun to see our favorite setter in action! Several people from WPA came so she had a fun cheering section!

Aidan went to his first home game of the season! Unfortunately they lost but college games are always fun!

Stella got to volunteer at the Career & Technical Center where Avery takes her vet tech courses! They have a "Barks & Bubbles" grooming center run by the students, so she went for a bath. We've learned lately that she is NOT a fan of having procedures done at the vet (nail trims, blood drawn, etc.) and I told them as much but Avery said they took her temperature for some reason and she absolutely didn't like that! She ended up bonking Avery and giving her a bruised eye for a few days, and she also got a devil sticker on her behavior chart which I thought was hilarious!

Other Stella moments!

Homecoming

Avery's Homecoming was a lot of fun with Senior Jeans, a giant mum in personalized colors as is tradition for seniors, and a cute HoCo Proposal from Jack!

Unfortunately the dance was a no-go because Jack had a fall at his house and got a mild concussion right as Avery was finishing getting ready. He very nicely got dressed and had his mom drive him over so that they could still take some beautiful pictures together, and I got them dinner to eat at home. They changed clothes and then his mom came back to get him so that he could get checked out at urgent care. Avery opted to go with them instead of going to the dance which bummed her out, but thankfully Jack had just a mild concussion and I know she would rather have been with him that night than with anyone! Definitely a night to remember!
