We trained back to Munich and took a quick flight to Luxembourg for a meeting Daniel had. I washed a load of our clothes at a laundromat and walked the city! There wasn't much to see there, but it was a cute town with neat architecture...and the coolest drink I had the whole trip was at the hotel bar! Then we flew to London for the last few days of our trip. I was on my own during the day since Daniel had meetings. We had been to London about 10 years ago, but this time I got to go to the Tower of London which I didn't get to do last time! I also saw Buckingham Palace, Big Ben, Westminster Abbey (last time we just saw it from the outside so I actually went in this time!), Kensington Palace and the new Princess Diana memorial, and went to the National Gallery of London where I saw tons of artwork including The Arnolfini Portrait and Mars and Venus which were my top two to see! When Daniel and I were together at night, we walked the streets, saw Phantom of the Opera, and had dinner at Nobu (delicious!). We had a great time but were glad to get home to see the kids and enjoy American comforts like iced drinks!

Daniel & Lauren's European Tour Part 1
While the kids were away on their mission trip, Daniel and I took off for Europe! He went to Poland for work and I met him in Munich a couple days later. We spent the night there and took the train to Salzburg for a few days he had in between work trips. Salzburg was gorgeous and the weather was amazing! There was so much to see and the highlight was the Sound of Music tour! We saw all the sights from the movie and of course had singalongs on the bus. I loved every part of the tour but seeing the cathedral (in a small town called Mondsee) was probably my favorite. Daniel was such a good sport since musicals are not his thing. We also went to the Fortress Hohensalzburg, walked along a street fair along the Salzach River, walked Getreidegasse, saw Mozart's birthplace, Salzburg Cathedral, and St. Peter's, and ate veal weinerschnitzel and apple strudel!
