Family Vacay

We just spent a few days in Lampasas with Gigi, Cookie, Jeff, Uncle Cody, Aunt Amy, Aunt Lindsay, Uncle Jason, Sage, Logan, and Ellie! We had found a big 5-bedroom house to rent right off of Sulfur Creek, a feeder from Lake Lampasas. The kids swam in the pool and had a blast just hanging out together. Daniel, Cody, and Jason took them fishing and Aidan caught one (Daniel did too but I don't have a picture). We all took turns making the meals, played games, and of course kept up with the Royal Baby news (well, some of us)! It was great just getting away and spending time together :)

Crawford Pitstop

On our way to Lampasas, we stopped to spend the night in Crawford and hang out with the Stewards. The kids swam with Grandpa and Nanna, Aidan played soccer with Uncle Jacob, and Avery got to meet some new feathered additions to Aunt Kathleen's animal collection (she just got a job as a wildlife rescuer). Aidan also got to try out his new BB gun and did great!

Aidan's Baptism

A few weeks ago, in the parking lot after picking the kids up from VBS, Aidan told me he wanted to ask Jesus into his heart. So Daniel and I prayed with him as he accepted Christ as his personal savior. We are SO thrilled for this big decision, and that Jesus spoke to his sweet heart! He got baptized at church this past Sunday, which was very special because Papi and Grammy were in town, plus Cookie, Gigi, Jeff, Cody, Amy, Sage, Logan, and our good friends the Denneys were there as well. God is so good and I'm praying for this relationship between Aidan and Jesus to only grow from here!!

Other holiday week fun

Here's some more of what we did last week:

We had a family party for Cousin Sage's 5th and Cousin Ellie's 1st birthdays!

My mom and I took the kids to Hawaiian Falls:

We went over to swim and have dinner with Kelly's family on Saturday night. They are really nice and always have fun stuff planned for our kids (this time it was fireworks!).

Daniel and I took off for a quick "staycation" getaway while Grammy baby-sat! We stayed at the W Hotel in Dallas Sunday night, then stayed at the Omni Hotel in Ft. Worth on Monday night. We enjoyed a couples' massage and just relaxed and enjoyed some kid-free time! The downtown area in both cities were kind of dead since it wasn't the weekend, so it was nice and quiet.
