A Low-Key May
We have expanded our social-distancing circle to include family and friends because we were going crazy (mental health is just as important as physical health and we are all being careful!). Daniel and I went to a '20s-themed birthday party for three of our old Wylie neighbors and had such a blast!
We also went to Waco for the weekend to see Papi and Grammy's new house, and see the Brooks girls while Daniel and Aidan went hunting with the Brooks boys!
Mother's Day, Daniel's newly-completed screened-in porch, Aidan's last guitar lesson (via Zoom), a beautiful rainbow, and trips to the hair and nail salons! Very happy Mommy!
Good-bye 2019-2020 School Year and Hello Cousin Addy!
Our month of May began with the last days of 6th grade and 8th grade for Avery and Aidan...this year's "last day" looked a little different with pajamas and actual assignments that needed to be turned in, instead of class parties and field days. But, they are done and I'm so proud of how my kids handled remote learning and I'm praying everything is back to normal in the fall! Avery and Ryleigh and Sage kicked off summer by building a fort in my living room, and jumping in the pool where they have been ever since.
We also welcomed our newest cousin Addy Joy Dixon! What a time to be born! I hope she knows 2020 isn't an accurate representation of what normal years are like :)
