Aidan's Birthday Part 2

Saturday morning was the DIRTY SCURRY!! It's a 1-mile muddy obstacle course that's just for kids. My friend Courtney's boys did it last year and loved it, so I figured since it fell right on Aidan's birhtday this year it would be a fun way to celebrate. I told all of his friends about it, but the only one that was adventurous enough was Kaelyn! I had cute shirts made using a design my mom had created. Aidan got major cold feet right before the race started and got really nervous...but we talked him through it, and he worked up his nerve. Then of course he smiled the whole way because it was SO much fun and they got filthy! I'm so happy he has a friend like Kaelyn, it wouldn't have been the same without her :)

Aidan's Birthday Part 1

Aidan turned SEVEN yesterday! We had an action-packed couple of days to celebrate. On Friday I brought him lunch, and Angry Bird cupcakes for his entire class.
That night we had Cody, Amy, Sage, Logan, Ellie, Cookie, Jeff, Gigi, and Amy's parents Gary and Nan over for burgers and hot dogs. I didn't take a single picture :( Actually I took some when he was blowing out candles but my flash was off. So, just imagine it! The next morning was the Dirty Scurry but that's another post in itself!

Then on Saturday night he had his school friends Hayden, Connor, and Brady (the same ones pictured above) over to spend the night. We took them to Amazing Jake's where they got to eat pizza and do bumper cars, video games, laser tag, and mini golf. Four was a great number because they could split up and do things as teams. After that we came home and let the boys eat cupcakes, play video games, and then go to sleep (they eventually all had to be separated into different rooms because they would not stop giggling). Avery got some quality cousin time this weekend...she spent Friday night with Sage, and also hung out there Saturday night while we were out with the boys. Thanks Uncle Cody and Aunt Amy!
