More Brownie Fun!
February was a really busy month for our Girl Scout troop! Not only were we selling cookies, we had a fun sleepover at the Perot museum! The girls got to design and market their own cookie, explore the museum, and sleep there! We were very thankful for a nap the next day!
We also participated in World Thinking Day with our service unit! Our troop represented Greece with the help of Toni Jacobus, a Greek native and friend of mine from church! She talked to our girls beforehand and brought lots of yummy food for them to sample, and she brought TONS of stuff for our booth! The girls wore togas and garland headpieces, and at the end of the night we won Best Overall Booth! What's even better is that we were told later that we would have also won Best Costume and Best Display but they felt bad giving one troop 3 of the 4 awards :) So proud of our Brownies! Thank you Miss Toni! OPA!!!
Family and Friends
My parents and Jason and Kelly were in town for fun! Jason and Kelly are expecting Baby Hudson in a few months so it was fun to see Kelly's growing belly! We invited Meredith (and AJ and Emma) over for the Superbowl. We ate lots of yummy food including my mom's football-themed cherry cobbler!
My friend Leslie was in town for Sign Gypsies conference! It was good to see her and her friend Rochelle, who I hadn't seen in years!
We also celebrated Logan's 7th birthday!
100th Day and Valentine's Day
For 100th Day at school, the 3rd graders wore shirts with 100 items on them (I made a Minion shirt for Avery with the help of Pinterest!) and the 5th graders dressed as 100-year-olds so Aidan was a Florida retiree!
For Valentine's Day, Aidan's class took a trip to Yogurtland! They also made cards for a woman who works at the school and the grandmother of one of Aidan's classmates, and invited them to go to Yogurtland with them! Avery's class had a party in the classroom. Both kids had fun and were sufficiently sugared up!
A couple days prior, we split up for date night. Avery and Daniel went to a nice restaurant, and Aidan and I went to see the Lego Batman movie!
