N'Awlins

I went on a girls' weekend to New Orleans to visit my buddy Leslie, along with our friends Courtney and Jen. Hanging out with these girls is NEVER boring and this weekend was no exception! We have just as much fun as we did during our sorority days :) We stayed at a hotel downtown and went to a casino, ate in the French Quarter, walked along Bourbon Street, and just soaked up the "interesting" city life. Every time I go I'm reminded that it is a fun place to VISIT and I am always so glad to get back to Texas! Until next time girls! Turn down for what?!?

Sic 'Em Bears!

Baylor Homecoming was the day after Halloween, so Avery, Daniel, and I drove down just for the afternoon. Aidan's last flag football game of the season was that morning, and after that he went to a birthday party for his friend who also invited him to spend the night. The rest of us had a blast with the Brookses, I also got to see my friends Courtney and Casi, the weather was great, and we beat Kansas by a ton. Can't ask for more than that!
Saturday also marked our first anniversary with Griffin! Can't believe we adopted him a year ago!

Halloween

Our church fall festival was the Sunday before Halloween. We never miss it!
On Halloween night, we went trick-or-treating with the Denneys. We even brought Griffin...he had an outfit and everything! Our friends the Fords met up with us too. The kids had a great time going from house to house, then we decided to go to a really neat haunted house in the neighborhood. Avery was too scared to even wait in line, so she hung out with Daddy while the rest of us went through. It was scary but fun!

Arboretum

The kids had a school holiday recently so we decided to take advantage of the nice weather and head to the Dallas Arboretum! Aunt Amy, Sage, Logan, and Ellie came with us so we got to get some fun cousin pictures. They went home after we played at the pumpkin patch, but Aidan and Avery and I went around the Children's Garden and had a great time!
