We always end the year with a bang, with Daniel's birthday and New Year's Eve back to back! We invited our friends and Daniel's siblings to Frankie's for drinks and cake, then he and I headed to a quick basketball game of Aidan's before heading to meet the gang again at Ranch House, a local honky tonk that Daniel loves!

Christmas in Colorado!
We drove to Pagosa Springs to celebrate Christmas with Jason, Kelly, Hudson, Papi, and Grammy! It actually ended up being a little warmer than usual, even warmer than it was in Dallas! It was great playing with Hudson and hanging out, playing games, and of course eating!

Christmas Parties and Birthday Celebrations for Me!
The kids weren't the only busy ones this month. Daniel and I went to a fun Christmas party with our old neighbors (we celebrated the December boys' birthdays then too), and I also went with the girls to Boyd, TX for the weekend to celebrate birthdays for me, Mindy, and Karli! We went to a winery owned by Mindy's friend, and had fun at our VRBO! I also went out to dinner with my "moms club" buddies to celebrate me and Susan, and we had a fun "Favorite Things" exchange for Christmas!

December Fun: Avery Edition
December was a busy month for Avery and choir! She sang in church choir (Aidan too) one Sunday, plus she had a choir concert at school and another one at Northpark Mall.
December Fun: Aidan Edition
Aidan and I went on his first college tour, to Texas Tech! We stopped by Midland the day before to say to the McCaslins and Harpers, and to meet baby Dawson! Aidan really liked Tech and we had a great tour around campus!

Jacob and Rose's Wedding!
Our Thanksgiving this year was exciting because Jacob married his bride Rose! We had a traditional catered Thanksgiving lunch as the "rehearsal dinner" on Thursday and then Friday was the big day! They chose a really neat chapel in Fort Worth for their wedding venue, and the reception was nearby and a lot of fun. We loved celebrating with them, seeing family, and welcoming Rose to the family. Hard to believe that the little junior groomsman from our wedding grew up to get married himself!
