South Carolina!

Daniel and I took our newly annual End-of-Tax-Season celebration trip with our friends Justin and Kate (from the D.C. office) to Folly Beach, South Carolina! We stayed in an amazing beach house right on the beach within walking distance of lots of restaurants. We also drove into Charleston for the day to see Rainbow Row, Pineapple Fountain, and other neat stuff. On our last night we bought swordfish, shrimp, tuna, and even shark to make seafood tacos and corn on the cob to cook! We had a great time!

Welcome Baby Hudson!!

Uncle Jason and Aunt Kelly welcomed our new nephew/cousin Hudson Marshall Lewis a few weeks earlier than expected! We will have to wait until July at Jessica's wedding to meet him but we are in love with him already!

Easter in Waco

We went to Waco for Easter and stayed with the Brookses! After going with them to church, we went to their house for a big luncheon that they hosted!

We also drove to Crawford for dinner with all the Stewards, plus Aunt Barbara (Grandpa's sister) and Uncle Chuck who were in town! Unfortunately I didn't get any pictures except for these. Kathleen and I took Avery to ride Toby (formerly the "wild" horse, who is now tame, and the formerly rideable Rusty is too old) but she got freaked out and wanted off. Hopefully she will find her nerve again one of these days!

This and That

Our neighborhood "celebrated" the one-year anniversary of the April 11th hailstorm that wrecked our beautiful new houses last spring! All in all we were very lucky despite the torn-up roofs, broken windows, dented cars, and other damage. It was a great excuse to hang out with some of our favorite people to enjoy pizza and snowcones!

Daniel and I celebrated our 16th anniversary with dinner at Ruth's Chris, one of our favorite places to eat!

My Girl Scouts visited a nursing home, their choice for their end-of-year service project! We brought them flowers, cookies, and homemade cards. The residents were so sweet and loved seeing the girls.

Avery and I got to tag along with my cousin Jessica as she got her portraits done! Avery loved helping out and it was so fun seeing Jessica (the most beautiful bride-to-be ever!) and my cousin Meredith and Aunt Jeri!

We enjoyed Good Friday with our cousins at the park!

School Stuff

Spring is always a busy time at school! The kids both had class Easter parties with Bahama Bucks, candy, and games!

Aidan's class took a field trip to Group Dynamix for some dodgeball and other games!

Avery gave an oral report on George Washington, with a poster that she made with the help of Grammy!
