Here's Aidan's Halloween costume!! My mom made "Steggy" for my brother back in the '80s when he was Aidan's age. So now it's Aidan's turn...and he loves it!
The original Steggy:
We took the kids to a local Pumpkin Prowl. Aidan wore his "backup" Halloween costume (Superman) since his dinosaur suit is so huge! Cousin Logan was also Superman...this is the only picture we got of them together (Logan is kind of a moving target these days!)
Hmm, what to do with all those pumpkins?
A friend gave me two free deals to Sweet & Sassy for an updo, make-up, and nail polish! So we invited Cousin Sage for a princess day. They loved it!
One of Avery's birthday gifts was a mini cupcake making set. Since Daddy is a cupcake junkie, he was happy to help :)

Happy Birthday Avery!
Our little girl is FOUR today! Where has the time gone? Her big present was a trampoline from Papi, Grammy, Grandpa, and Nanna. She LOVES bouncing on it! This morning she had breakfast on the Red Plate and then had Sage over to jump on the trampoline, play princesses, and watch Sleeping Beauty. Then tonight we went to Matt's El Rancho for dinner where the waiters sang to her!
Avery you are such a blessing to us and you complete our family with your adventurous spirit, silly sense of humor, and sweet nature. Some things about you: you're very into princesses and still love all animals. You love to snuggle with us...we love that! You've just started drawing "people" consisting of a circle face with four lines coming out for the arms and legs. We've recently discovered that you have an amazing memory and have caught you reciting books, Bible verses, your address (which Aidan had to learn for school), anything that you hear a few times. You are still a great eater, and there are few foods you will turn down! You love your dresses and your girly toys, but you know all the superheroes and are a great playmate for your rambunxious older brother! You have an infectious giggle and love to play with Aidan and Sage, as well as your friends. You are stubborn and do things only when YOU are ready to do them. You are beautiful inside and out! We love you Avery Kate :)

Avery's "Pre-Slumber" Pajama Party!
We celebrated Avery's birthday with a pajama party! Since we're not brave enough for slumber parties yet (Avery and her friends are still a little young for that), I decided to just do a pajama party that ended at 8:30pm :) So the girls came over in their pj's for pizza, cupcakes, and presents, and then they all took their sleeping bags up to our media room to watch Tangled. This was our first "parent drop-off" party so the parents were able to go out for a date night while their girls partied with us! Luckily we had so many relatives in town for Lindsay's wedding that we had plenty of help. It was so much fun and Avery had a blast! Thank you Sage, Hailey, Ambrielle, Marina, Amaia, Kaelyn, Bella, Becca, Margot, Rylee, Kella, Reagan, Lillian, and Evelyn for helping us make Avery's 4th birthday party special!

Lindsay + Jason
Daniel's sister Aunt Lindsay got married this weekend! So now the kids have two Uncle Jasons :) Avery and Sage were flower girls, and Aidan was the ring bearer. At the rehearsal he seemed nervous about his job but after we explained how important it was for Aunt Lindsay, and how it was a job just for big kids he tried it out and loved the praise he got :) At the wedding Sage and Avery ran down the aisle which was cute. Daniel helped give the gorgeous bride away, and Uncle Cody officiated the ceremony. So it was a major family affair! And at the reception we discovered that Aidan is a dancing machine...we were CRACKING UP at his moves. He could have stayed all night! I've included a video of him doing the robot which is a must-see. Congratulations Lindsay and Jason!
The flower girls looking very serious (Avery was not in a very smiley mood that evening):

Time for the robot!

Elementary Night
We finally made it to a football game at Aidan's school. It was Elementary Night (the elementary school kids had activities at school all week) and they got to go on the field with the football players before the game. Aidan loved running around with his buddies. Our team is pretty good and we won!!

Arboretum Pumpkin Patch
I decided to use Aidan's Fair Day holiday to take the kids to the Arboretum. We usually blow so much money at the fair, and we're trying to save up for Disney next month...so hanging out at the pumpkin patch with Aunt Amy, Sage, and Logan seemed like a great alternative :) Here are some pics that Amy and I took. I didn't get any great ones of Aidan and Avery. They were too busy running around with their cousins, and Avery wasn't in the mood to give me any good smiles. Oh well.
I can't decide which of these cousin group shots is the best:

I love these of Logan and Aidan:
Time for a picnic lunch!
This is the best one of my two together, if that tells you anything:
I love this one of the girls!!
The petting zoo: Avery's favorite part, of course:
