Mom Trips!
Since my mom was in town to stay with the kids, I decided to take a last-minute trip to New Orleans to see my friend Leslie! I found a good fare that left Tuesday morning and came back Wednesday night. Her husband was out of town and her boys were in school so partying wasn't exactly on our agenda but I filled in as her sister-wife and helped out with a 5th grade class project. We did get to go to brunch at Brennan's in New Orleans on Tuesday, and we went to lunch and a movie with a friend of hers on Wednesday. We went to dinner at Cheesecake Factory with her boys before they took me to the airport that night. Thanks for a fun visit Leslie!!
When I got back I immediately had to get ready for my annual Girls Weekend with my mom friends in WACO of all places! We all wanted to go to the Magnolia silos, made popular by Chip and Joanna Gaines, Baylor alums who host the design show Fixer Upper! I had a great time showing my friends around my old hangouts, and loved seeing some new spots that have opened up!
Spring Break!
The kids and I kicked off our Spring Break by going to the zoo with Aunt Amy and Sage, Logan, and Ellie! We actually beat the crowds because GCA was off the Friday before the break. The weather was gorgeous!
The kids had two different sleepover nights with friends!
My mom flew in town on Monday and we were so excited to see her! She fixed Aidan a "Dessertapalooza" one night which he loved (Avery chose just ice cream):
Avery also learned to ride her bike without training wheels! We had taken them off months ago but she was too nervous to try pedaling. She finally got the hang of it! Go Avery!!

Brownie Fun
We've been doing lots of exciting things with our Brownie troop! We got to go to a Dallas Mavericks basketball game for Girl Scout Night, and after the game all the kids got to go down to the court and shoot a free throw shot.
We also finished Cookie Season and sold all of our Girl Scout cookies! Between booth sales, selling to friends and family, and going door-to-door at our new AND old neighborhoods, Avery sold almost 200 boxes!
We got to go to a dance studio where the girls learned a choreographed routine and earned their Dancer badge!
