Back to School (College!) for Aidan

A BIG thing happened this month - we moved Aidan to Arkansas! He is rooming with his high school buddy (and birthday twin!) Cade, so we got his room all set up before we headed home and left him there to start college life! He also had a bonus visit from Summer and her mom that afternoon...they drove over for the day to see him before school and volleyball schedules make things hectic. We are so excited for Aidan and proud of him and we miss him already!

It was also really fun to see rush happening while we were there! We drove down sorority row and saw tons of rushees at all the beautiful houses (of course the Kappa Delta house is the best!!) and then later that week I watched Bid Day online which was fun.

He very nicely sent me a first day of school picture, and I found some pictures from the BCM group he's been hanging out with, and their big Class of 2028 picture!

Tears and Cheers!

Aidan worked his last day at DFW Indoor Pickleball where he has worked the past few months! He and Avery also had some sibling time, and he took Summer out for dinner the night before we left for Arkansas.

In the midst of college move-ins, we also had some "Tears & Cheers" celebrations with our fellow senior parent friends!

This and That in July

We went to the ranch and took Summer so she could ride a horse for the first time!

Grown-up birthday dinners for Kimberly and Stephanie!

We also celebrated Sutton's 2nd birthday and got to see a bunch of the Jolly family!

Adventures of Aidan and Avery

Aidan took a break from having a normal summer and went SKYDIVING with Aunt Lindsay! Cookie had given him a choice of skydiving, helicopter lessons, or racecar driving for his 18th birthday and of course he chose the most dangerous. They had a blast and Aidan even said he would do it again!

Avery went to a quinceanera with her friend Olivia, interned for a few weeks at a vet's office, and found out a week after our 4th of July party that she had broken her hand after going down the inflatable slide! We had blown it off and told her it was fine but when she kept complaining about pain, I took her in and there it was on the X-ray! Who knew?

4th of July

Even though we had lost Griffin a few days before, we had our 4th of July party as planned and we were actually SO happy to see our friends. We had such a blast and even got to enjoy some fireworks that a neighbor set off!
