End of Summer and Back to School for Avery!

Before school started, Avery went on an officers' retreat for DOLLS, her Bible study at school she's been part of. She was elected secretary for this coming year and is looking forward to serving!

She and her church friends "Oreo'd" one Sunday. We also got some driving practice in! Some of our neighbor friends were brave enough to be her passengers when we practiced driving on their block.

Last but not least, she started school! Her school started a couple weeks earlier than Aidan's which was a bummer for her, but he was doing football two-a-days in the heat so I don't think she would have traded places with him! I know she is going to have a great sophomore year!

This and That

The last half of July was refreshingly slow - we were done with all our traveling, church trips, and party hosting! But we still had fun doing summer things. On our way home from Destin we stopped and had lunch with Leslie and Theo!

Tracey and I went to a "Broadway Rave" I had found out about and it was so much fun! 

Avery saw Barbie with her friends, and Aidan spent plenty of time with Summer!

We also made our annual trip to Burger's Lake! We took Summer and Avery's friend Lily. 

We hosted Backyard Refuge (or as I always called it, Study-n-Swim) for the youth group at our house!

And because there's no such thing as too much Jolly time, we celebrated Sutton's first birthday with all the McCaslins plus Tracey and her kids!

Destin

Right after all our July 4th/Jollypalooza craziness, we drove to Destin to celebrate Papi and Grammy's upcoming 50th anniversary! My dad rented a house close to the beach that had a pool and a great layout for all of us. We cooked lots of meals at the house and also went out some, including an adults-only dinner at Fleming's! We spent tons of time at the beach, drove the golf cart around the neighborhood, and one afternoon the girls went to Seaside for some shopping. I also booked a "glass art class" for Avery and Kelly to take and their pieces were so cool! 

Jollypalooza

 All eight Jolly cousins were together for the first time in who knows how long, and it was SO much fun! We (of course) took lots of pics, recreated pics, swam, ate, and had jam sessions. It was so cute to see the little ones and babies together. We missed Barb, Tyler, Clara, Scott, Anna Claire, and Dawson! Our parents were very jealous, although we had lunch at Tracey's the next day and they got to come!
