NYC Part 1

I took Aidan to New York City to celebrate his 13th birthday (a week early, to take advantage of two school holidays he had for Easter!) and we had a blast! I had planned it for a while, and two of my college friends Leslie and Jen joined us there with their kids Jack and Corinne. Aidan and I did our own thing during the day and met up with them at night. After getting there late Thursday night, we woke up Friday and went to see Rockefeller Plaza, St. Patrick's Cathedral, FAO Schwarz, Radio City Music Hall, and the NBA Store before having lunch and then going on a tour of NBC Studios. We loved going behind the scenes and seeing Jimmy Fallon's studio (I had been in there a couple years earlier when my friends and I got to see his monologue rehearsal!), the SNL studio, and Seth Myers' studio! Our group also got to make a talk-show format video which was really funny (I was in the band and Aidan was in the control room). After the tour we took the subway to Greenwich Village to see the apartment used for exterior shots in Friends, as well as Carrie Bradshaw's brownstone from Sex & The City. Then we met up with our friends at Ellen's Stardust Diner which was so fun!! After some photo ops in Time Square, we headed back to the hotel to rest up for the next day!

Papa Jeff

We had to say good-bye to Papa Jeff, who passed away a few weeks ago after a battle with cancer. We were so blessed to have him in our family...he and Cookie were married less than 10 years but the kids don't really remember life without him! We had a nice celebration of life and gravesite service honoring him. He had a great life and we will miss him!!

Jessica's Baby Shower

Avery and I took a road trip to Midland for my cousin Jessica's baby shower. My aunts, mom, and all my girl cousins were there except Tracey who just had Baby Liam! Avery loved hanging out with Gwen and Clara, and Jessica's niece Arden at the shower! It was a Jolly slumber party at Jeri's and the shower was so nice! Avery and I also went over to Kathleen and Josh's to say hi since they live nearby, and Avery loved seeing their chickens!

March Madness

Daniel and I went to a wedding for his colleague Rick's daughter Jenna:

We went to see Kaelyn perform in a Broadway showcase at Dallas Children's Theater. Aidan is getting close to being taller than her for the first time in their lives!

We went to church on St. Patrick's Day wearing our green.

We made a road trip to see Great-Pa and Gamma!

I got to see my friend Leslie who was in town for a wedding!

I went with friends to see Pink (my favorite!) in concert...again!
