Sic 'Em Lady Bears!

Avery and I met up with my friend Jen and her daughter Corinne in Waco this past weekend to watch the Lady Bears play in a volleyball tournament! Corinne had just made her junior high team so she was extra excited! We saw two of the games and watched the Bears WIN! We had great seats and even got to meet some of the players after the games, who posed for pictures and signed Corinne's t-shirt and Avery's poster. We even got to meet the Baylor President, Dr. Linda Livingstone, who was so sweet! In between games we took the girls around Baylor and also went to the Dr. Pepper museum (boring, but the girls had fun!). Such a fun girls weekend!

Back to School!

We started 5th and 7th grades this week! Aidan is at the middle school for the first time (and we have started middle school sports), and Avery is maneuvering her own schedule as a 5th grader (more than one teacher) and is a Junior Eagle cheerleader this year! Looking forward to a great year!

Wrapping up Summer

We crammed in as much fun as we could the last couple weeks of summer! We had the Ford kids over for a sleepover, I went out with my friends Tracey and Kimberly (to the '80s club!) and we also went with the Dixons on Lake Lewisville on Daniel's old boss Rick's boat! The kids loved going tubing (the grown-ups even took a turn!) and jet-skiing!

Ya Dummy

I spent a fun-filled weekend at the Woodlands Resort with my KD friends Leslie and Jen! It had been so long since I'd seen them so this weekend was much needed! We laughed, ate, drank, and chilled at the pool. What more could we ask for? Ya dummy!

Art and Cheer

Avery got to go to a ceramics camp at the high school for a few days and loved it! She is looking forward to doing the after-school art program next year!

She also did cheer camp in preparation for Junior Eagle Cheer next year!
