Fun with Friends & Family

I went on my annual Girls Weekend with my mom friends recently! We stayed local like we usually do, and enjoyed seeing a movie, getting massages, relaxing by the pool, playing games, and most of all eating well! I miss having these girls super close by but am very thankful they're still within driving distance!

We also had the Dixons and Halls over for Memorial Day! It's already HOT so it was a perfect day to jump in the pool!

I took Avery to see Swan Lake at Texas Ballet and we loved it!

Reasons to Celebrate

The kids and I drove to Waco to celebrate my friend Jenna's sister Meredith and her engagement! I've known Meredith since she was a preschooler so it's fun to see her all grown up!

The Denney family got baptized together and we got to be a part of their special day!

My sweet family honored me on Mother's Day with church, a quick lunch, some "me" time, and a nice dinner at Pacific Table!

Wrapping Up School!

The kids had fun at Field Day, and Aidan performed with the 6th grade band at a musical festival at NRH2O (a local waterpark):

Happy Birthday Aidan!

Aidan turned twelve and we had not one, but two parties to celebrate! We had his 3 best friends from back home come spend the night one weekend, then we had a few new friends from school the day after his birthday for ping-pong (the table is his gift from us), basketball, pizza, cupcakes, and then we took them to Main Event for laser tag and video games. On his actual birthday after breakfast on the red plate and frozen yogurt after school, we had almost all the Texas relatives come in for dinner at Meso Maya! I can't believe next year he'll be a teenager!

This and That

Instead of our annual vacation with our friends Justin and Kate from D.C., we had them here for a visit! We took them to our ranch and enjoyed some gorgeous weather!

Daniel and I also enjoyed our 17th anniversary!

Lots has been going on at school! We went to a family picnic, Aidan finished his science fair project, Avery showed off some of her plants at open house, the kids entered Griffin into a pet photo contest and won Most Regal Dog, Avery also made many beautiful art pieces at school, including this one of palm trees (I love what she wrote on the back next to "medium"):
