Hudson!!!! (And Jason and Kelly!)

We were so excited to have Jason, Kelly, and Baby Hudson for a visit! They were in Texas for a couple of weeks to visit different family and friends, but some of their plans got derailed when all of them got sick off and on. Jason caught a bug that delayed them from our house for a day, and then Hudson came down with a fever their first night here (turned out to be a double ear infection!). They had to miss a dinner with the DFW cousins and decided to head back to Kelly's mom's early, but we did get to spend Sunday afternoon with them! Luckily the weather was gorgeous and we got to watch the Superbowl together! Hudson couldn't be cuter even when he's not feeling well. Hoping for another visit soon!

Hitting the Ground Running

The first few weeks of 2018 have been busy but fun! Aidan continued his basketball season and also added a Saturday league with some of the same boys from his team. They were up against some "B" and "C" teams from other schools which included older and taller boys, but they held their own! His 6th grade team was undefeated and went to the district playoffs last night and WON! He will have played 18 games in less than a month. PHEW!!!
Our friends the Saurettes were here for a cheer competition so they stayed with us, then Avery and I got to watch Addi cheer, plus a few of my old Girl Scouts, and Avery's sweet friend Ryleigh!
Finally, we went to the Fort Worth Rodeo! Yee-haw!

Happy 2018!

Daniel woke up on his 40th birthday to pancakes on the red plate with his family, then he and I flew to Las Vegas with our friends Mark and Ashley, who are some of our old neighbors from Wylie! We saw Britney Spears in concert that night (who knew that would be how Daniel spent his 40th birthday?!?) and it was amazing! He had rented us a penthouse suite in Palms Place, which was off the main strip but that was a good thing...away from the NYE craziness but with a GREAT view of the strip fireworks! We had a blast eating, gambling, and sightseeing the rest of the time! Meanwhile Papi and Grammy threw a fun mini-party for the kids to ring in the New Year :)

Merry Christmas!

We had an early Christmas Eve brunch with the Dixons and the Halls! The kids always love any chance to hang out with their cousins.
Papi and Grammy came in on the 23rd and we all went to a Christmas Eve service at Christ Chapel in Fort Worth. Then the next morning we celebrated our first Christmas in Cowtown!
After Christmas we went to see Grandpa, Nana, and Uncle Jacob. After a night in Crawford we met Papi and Grammy in San Angelo where Gamma is currently living in a nursing home (they picked up Great-Pa from Hodges on the way). It was so good to see them, as well as Uncle Preston and Aunt Harriet! After our visit we drove on to Comanche to see Cookie, Gigi, Jeff, and more of the Dixons and Halls. Thanks to Papi and Grammy for staying at our house with Griffin while we drove all over making the founds!
