Happy 2018!

Daniel woke up on his 40th birthday to pancakes on the red plate with his family, then he and I flew to Las Vegas with our friends Mark and Ashley, who are some of our old neighbors from Wylie! We saw Britney Spears in concert that night (who knew that would be how Daniel spent his 40th birthday?!?) and it was amazing! He had rented us a penthouse suite in Palms Place, which was off the main strip but that was a good thing...away from the NYE craziness but with a GREAT view of the strip fireworks! We had a blast eating, gambling, and sightseeing the rest of the time! Meanwhile Papi and Grammy threw a fun mini-party for the kids to ring in the New Year :)

Merry Christmas!

We had an early Christmas Eve brunch with the Dixons and the Halls! The kids always love any chance to hang out with their cousins.

Papi and Grammy came in on the 23rd and we all went to a Christmas Eve service at Christ Chapel in Fort Worth. Then the next morning we celebrated our first Christmas in Cowtown!

After Christmas we went to see Grandpa, Nana, and Uncle Jacob. After a night in Crawford we met Papi and Grammy in San Angelo where Gamma is currently living in a nursing home (they picked up Great-Pa from Hodges on the way). It was so good to see them, as well as Uncle Preston and Aunt Harriet! After our visit we drove on to Comanche to see Cookie, Gigi, Jeff, and more of the Dixons and Halls. Thanks to Papi and Grammy for staying at our house with Griffin while we drove all over making the founds!

Winter Break Fun!

To kick off Christmas break, we went as a family (including Griffin) to see the Grand Prairie lights!

I celebrated my early birthday (and my friend Susan's) with my sweet friends from home. We went to a movie, then dinner, then to look at Christmas lights, then to spend the night at Le Meridien Hotel in Addison, then brunch the next morning!

We scheduled some fun sleepovers on our week off! We had a cousin swap Monday, then Jenna and her kids came up from Waco on Tuesday, then we had a sleepover swap with the kids' friends Brady and Ryleigh from GCA! They were so glad to see some old friends.

I also had a lot of fun getting our house ready for Christmas!
