Holiday Activities

Aidan and Avery both had their recitals and did a great job! Avery sang Silent Night, and Aidan played Ode to Joy on the guitar.
We had Grandparents Day at school on December 1st, which they incorporated into the Elementary school Christmas program (genius!). Grandpa and Nana got to come so the kids loved showing them around school.
The kids both had class parties on the last day of school. I think we were all ready for almost three weeks of winter break!
Aidan had his Holly Ball with Cotillion and looked so handsome! I don't think any of the boys are crazy about Cotillion but the moms are loving it!

Thanksgiving at the Ranch

We drove to Jason and Kelly's in northern Colorado for Thanksgiving with them and Papi and Grammy! It was a LONG drive but not too bad (we stopped in Steamboat Springs on the way up, and Amarillo on the way back)...and seeing Baby Hudson made it more than worth it! It had snowed before we got there which made for a beautiful drive and great scenery for pictures! We got to help Uncle Jason with his ranch chores, and Aunt Kelly made us some delicious meals including turkey for Thanksgiving! There was also s'mores around the campfire, art class with Kelly, and lots of deer sightings. So fun!

Fall Fun

We went to "Early Thanksgiving" at my Aunt Marsha and Uncle Walt's house, who we live very close to now! It was great seeing my cousins and eating some yummy snacks (we had to leave before the big meal because Aidan had a football game).
I also went to the "Ranger Connection" luncheon with my aunts and cousins, to honor Mema's friend Betty as she turned 91! If I could look half that good at 91, I'll consider it a win!
Aidan had a great flag football season through the YMCA with his friends from school! He also started a basketball season through the school so he's been a busy athlete!
My sweet friends Tracey and Kimberly came out to Cowtown to see me! After dinner 2e went to the new location of the Studio 80 club which was so fun!

This Is Halloween

As the kids are getting older, there seem to be less Halloween-related activities we do, but we still did some this year! We had our new neighbors over for some pumpkin carving and had so much fun!
Aidan went to a Halloween party with his 6th grade class at an indoor sports complex, which turned out to be NOT a dress-up party but luckily he has a good sense of humor and he was dressed appropriately enough in his zombie football player outfit.
He decided he was too old to trick-or-treat, so he stayed home with me to pass out candy. Avery however, trick-or-treated like a boss as Maleficent!
