The Brownies Do Great Wolf Lodge!

For our end-of-year party (a little early, to take advantage of some deals that were going on) our Brownies used their cookie money to pay for an overnight trip to Great Wolf Lodge! We got two rooms and had pizza for dinner and ice cream for dessert! The girls had a blast at the water park and slept like champs! The next morning was April Fool's, so we pranked the girls into believing the water park had been closed down because of a vomiting/diarrhea outbreak. They repaid me by tricking me into riding the scariest water slide in the park! It was a fun way to celebrate the end of a great year.

Spring Break Part 2

On Day 2 of our trip we had lunch at Bluebonnet Cafe (a much-hyped and crowded but not very delicious restaurant) and then headed to Enchanted Rock, our highlight of the day! Only to find out that there were so many visitors over Spring Break they had to close it at capacity :( So we headed to Fredricksburg instead for some CROWDED but fun shopping! The next morning we let the kids swim at the resort, then we took a chance at a Tex-Mex restaurant which ended up being our best meal by far of the whole trip! On the way home we went to Longhorn Cavern State Park for a really neat cave tour experience! After dinner in Waco, a kolache stop in West, we headed home! Spring Break Part 1

Most of our neighborhood friends had Spring Break the week before we did. So our Spring Break was shaping up to be on the boring side with no friends to go outside and play with! Luckily Kaelyn's Spring Break coincided with ours, so Tracey and I decided to take the kids on a mini-vacay to Hill Country! We stayed at Horseshoe Bay resort with some fun stops at Waco (to visit the Magnolia and eat at the food trucks, of course!) and Hamilton Pool along the way! That night at our resort we roasted S'mores, enjoyed a Cirque du Soleil show just for hotel guests, and had a late dinner!
