Soccer Star

Aidan has been playing Upward Soccer this spring and is loving it! He played a couple times when he was 4 and 5 so it's been a while but he is doing awesome. He hustles like crazy and has made some really good shots. At his game last weekend his team was down by one point, but with ONE SECOND on the clock he made a shot and brought it up to a tie! It was really exciting and Daniel had Aidan call Grandpa Steward after the game to tell him about it :) Aidan's friend Chase is on the team which is fun, especially for Avery who loves playing with his sister Kella!

Girl Scouts End-of-Year Bash

My friend Kimberly and I finished a successful year of being Girl Scout leaders!!! Avery, Sage, Ambrielle, Margot, Becca, Ava, and Trystan were such a cute troop of Daisies and we are looking forward to next year! We had a pool party at Becca's house and although the water was FREEZING the kids had so much fun swimming! We also met with a Brownie troop (Kimberly's other daughter Marina) and got to do some fun activities with them. Our girls have one more year of Daisies and then they will bridge to Brownies!

This and That

Some pics from my mom's visit. She bonded with Griffin, plus she was the Mystery Reader for Aidan's class one day! She read Miss Piggle-Wiggle and was a big hit :)

We are so thankful for Grammy and all of our moms and grandmothers! And I'm so thankful for these two beautiful things that made me a mother. Daniel helped them treat me to a beautiful bouquet of flowers, as well as dinner AND lunch out! They know I love eating at restaurants :)

Avery invited Sage to Bring-A-Friend-To-Dance Day at her dance studio!

We had a random tornado warning while Aidan and his friend Marina were at piano! I had just dropped them off, then Daniel called to tell me about the storms which were headed our way. He and Marina's mom both said I needed to back and TAKE COVER! We went into their piano teacher's bathtub but as usual, there was no real danger. Gotta love Texas.

And finally, this past Friday at school, Aidan collided with another kid during a dodgeball game in P.E. and wound up with a cut lip and two teeth knocked loose (unfortunately one of them is permanent). The lip should heal without stitches, but I took him to the dentist who extracted the baby tooth, and put a splint on the permanent tooth to hopefully stabilize it. He'll get it off in a few days, and in the meantime he gets to enjoy lots of soft foods. This last picture cracks me up. Could he look any dorkier? :)

Aidan turns EIGHT!

I can't believe our little boy is turning eight today! Where has the time gone? His friend Brady from school has a birthday three days after Aidan's, so his mom and I decided to do a joint birthday party for the two of them this past Friday. We invited all the boys from their class, and each of them invited a few extras. We hired Game Truck, which is a company that brings a huge truck filled with video games for the boys to play inside! So after pizza and cupcakes the boys piled in for an hour and a half. Plus Avery got to play with her friend Ryleigh, who is Brady's little sister. Everyone had a great time and slept great that night! Thank you Brady, Chase, Tate, Jamison, Ruben, Chad, Connor, Hayden, Andrew, Blake, Braden, Tyran, Trevor, and Caden for celebrating with us!

We celebrated this morning by letting Aidan open gifts before church, then we went to Babe's for lunch with Grammy before she flew home (thanks for a fun visit, Grammy!). Happy Birthday to our early rising, always smiling, sweet-toothed, competitive, inquisitive, goofy, huge-hearted Aidan! We are proud of you every day and are thankful God chose us to be your parents. We love you more than you will ever know :)

Sara's Shower

We went to a baby shower yesterday to celebrate my cousin Sara and her baby girl who is arriving next month! Tracey, Aunt Jeri, and my mom were the hostesses and it was a beautiful and fun shower. Anything is fun when you add Jolly girls to the mix :) Avery hunt out with Clara and they had such a good time together. I wish the two of them lived closer to each other because they are peas in a pod!
