Memorial Day Weekend

This past weekend we had three couple friends over for a cookout. They all have friends our kids' ages so much fun was had by all.

On Memorial Day, we participate in the Murph Challenge at CrossFit Wylie (where Daniel works out) to honor fallen soldier Mike Murphy. The Dixon family joined us so we all did it together. It consisted of a 2-mile run, 100 pull-ups, 200 push-ups, and 300 squats. Daniel and Cody did all of this but Aidan and I each did about 50 push-ups, 50 squats, and 10 pull-ups. Avery did a few too but had more fun drawing on the ground with Sage and the other kids that were there. Aidan was the fastest runner and beat all of us!  Avery rode in the jogging stroller for the first mile, but not the second!  I'm SO proud of our family and am SO sore today!!!

Flag Football and Blastball End-of-Season

The Mustangs and Team Purple both had their trophy ceremonies and end-of-year parties. We were blessed with great coaches and great teammates this season!  Both kids had a great time.

Great Wolf Lodge

Aidan had an early release on his last day of school, so we picked up Avery from MDO and headed to Great Wolf Lodge for a night of family fun!  We want three years ago when the kids were much smaller, so this time they will able to do some more rides, plus the outdoor area was open which was really cool. Aidan's favorite thing to do was the pool basketball, both inside and outside. Avery spent most of her time in the little kid area, where she made tons of friends. We went out to dinner, went to story time, played some arcade games, and just enjoyed some time as a family.

Aidan's Last Day of School

Here are Aidan's First and Last Day of School pics side by side!

He also had Field Day which was a lot of fun. Good-bye, first grade and Mrs. Davis!!

Mother's Day

I kicked off Mother's Day weekend by going to Muffins with Moms at Avery's MDO on Thursday.

Grandpa, Nanna, and Aunt Kathleen drove up from Crawford to see the kids play flag football and blastball, and go out for an early Mother's Day dinner with us. This is an awful picture...I'm so bad at getting extended family pictures!

Both kids were so tired after a day full of sports, gymnastics, a birthday party, and grandparents that they laid down on the booth and rested in my lap. Gotta say I loved it :)

I woke up to beautiful flowers and some cards, and we went to church:

Daniel was having awful stomach pains and we had to leave church early, but luckily I got to catch Avery in a brief video that the preschoolers made for all the moms! Poor Daniel was out of commission for most of the day, but he made it up to me by cooking lobster for dinner the next night! We are so thankful for our moms and grandmothers, especially my mom ("Grammy" as she's known these days) and all she means to me:

And I'm so thankful God chose ME to be a mommy to these incredible blessings :)
