Gymnastics Showcase
Avery had a gymnastics showcase on Saturday displaying all she had learned this past year. Grandpa, Daddy, and I had great seats to cheer her on! So proud of my little girl who is never afraid to try anything :)

This and That
Aidan lost his third tooth today! At a birthday party this week he had a collision with another kid which knocked his top tooth loose (it wasn't very loose before). It came out this morning and he was very excited!

My friend Tracey and I saw WICKED a couple weeks ago! She had already seen it, but we found out about a lottery that gives away a certain number of tickets the night of any given show. We went to put our names in, and we won! I was SO excited...great show!

We saw my friend Sarah and her boys a few weeks ago:

Avery and I went to a MOMS Club breakfast that quickly turned into a princess playdate:

This is from last night. They occasionally end up in the same bed. How can they stand this? They make us laugh every single day :)

We've been enjoying a lot of outdoor time now that the weather has warmed up. As you can see Aidan got a chalk lesson in football positions from Daddy.

I made a consious effort to slow down and enjoy my kids this week more than ever. On Monday a sorority sister of mine named Laura and her husband Justin lost their almost 2-year-old daughter Jacqueline very unexpectedly. Laura put her down for a nap and she never woke up. She also has an almost 4-year-old son and a brand new 1-week-old daughter. It's been devastating to say the least and I'm praying that God will comfort these parents' aching hearts as only He can! In the meantime, I'm extra thankful for every day I get to spend with my beautiful kiddos.

Avery's Blastball Pics
Avery may not be the Derek Jeter of blastball...but she sure is cute! Aidan had to miss picture day with his football team because of his birthday and the Dirty Scurry :( But, he's signed up to do summer basketball and may do flag football again in the fall so there are plenty of opportunities for pictures!

Choir
The kids both performed in their church choir program Sunday night. Avery's in the preschool choir and this was Aidan's first year in CREW (Children Radically Experiencing Worship). CREW sang a song in the worship service that morning and Aidan was really nervous...but did just fine. And they both did great that night :)

Aidan's Birthday Part 2
Saturday morning was the DIRTY SCURRY!! It's a 1-mile muddy obstacle course that's just for kids. My friend Courtney's boys did it last year and loved it, so I figured since it fell right on Aidan's birhtday this year it would be a fun way to celebrate. I told all of his friends about it, but the only one that was adventurous enough was Kaelyn! I had cute shirts made using a design my mom had created. Aidan got major cold feet right before the race started and got really nervous...but we talked him through it, and he worked up his nerve. Then of course he smiled the whole way because it was SO much fun and they got filthy! I'm so happy he has a friend like Kaelyn, it wouldn't have been the same without her :)
