Avery's Miami Visit

When I went to Honduras last week, Avery flew with me halfway to Miami where she stayed with Papi and Grammy all by herself. My mom pulled out all the stops...not only did she buy some new toys for Avery, she got out a bunch of my old toys which were in storage. They even bought her a cute pair of Nikes! Avery also got to meet Papi's co-workers at the office, and Grammy's friends for lunch.

Heat wave, Honduras, and More Mardi Gras

We've been experiencing a heat wave for the past couple of days, which has meant shorts and afternoons at the park. I really haven't stocked up on spring/summer clothes for either kid yet, especially Avery. But I did find this dress in her closet which we wore to the park today. I returned from a mission trip to Honduras this past Tuesday (you can click on the logo on the right side of the blog to read more about it) and I brought back a Honduran soccer ball for Aidan, and a doll for Avery. My friend Tracey kept Aidan after MDO the last day I was gone, and she took him and Kaelyn to a Mardi Gras party at the local library.

A Day at the Park

The weather was so nice yesterday afternoon that we joined Aunt Amy and Cousin Sage at the park! Sage and Avery loved swinging together, and Aidan got in on the fun too.

ASI

We took a field trip with our Mom's Club to the local ASI gymnastics facility, where the kids got to exercise, run, jump, and have fun. Avery had just as much fun as Aidan did...I have a feeling we'll be seeing a lot more of that place as she gets older! Notice her new ponytail. We are running out of ways to keep her hair out of her face and I just don't have the heart to cut it yet!

Happy Valentine's Day!

We hosted a Valentine party at our house on Friday, where the kids from our Mom's Club decorated cookies together. That night we all four went out for an early Valentines Day dinner to beat the crowd. Daniel made me a lobster tail for dinner on the 14th...my favorite!!

Random Pics

When Aunt Leslie visited from New Orleans a couple weeks ago, she brought some Mardi Gras beads for the kids. They are a big hit! Aidan and Avery also have a new love for playing on the big king-size pillows on our bed. I throw them on the floor and they go to town.

Pet Store Fun

Our Mom's Club took a tour of a local pet store this past week. The kids had a great time!

Hannah's Birthday

This weekend we went to Crawford to see Grandpa, Nanna, Uncle Jacob, and Aunt Kathleen who was home from college. Then on Saturday we headed to Waco for Hannah's 4th birthday party! Avery probably walked the length of a marathon in the course of this trip. She is unstoppable!

Valentine Playdate

We had kind of a low-key week due to the ice storm. On Monday we went to Aidan's playgroup and made some valentines. Avery is walking EVERYWHERE now. She loves it! The hiney picture is the kids on their way to the shower, part of their nightly routine. Daniel (who has always done bathtime for the most part) came to the conclusion that showers are easier. They entertain themselves pretty well in there!
