Calgon, take me away!
Avery's favorite time of day is bathtime! She likes to wind down after a busy day of sleeping, eating, and observing.

Hoppy Easter!
After church this morning we headed to Uncle Cody and Aunt Amy's for lunch. Aunt Lindsay and Clifton also came over. After lunch we all went to our house for the kids' naptime, and they both slept for about two hours at the same time which is so rare and awesome! So we got to enjoy some kid-free relaxing and game-playing. The Easter bunny paid a visit during naptime so Aidan had a bunch of eggs to find when he woke up. He also found a few for Avery.

Corinne
We have received some sad news today that our friend Corinne, who is a little older than Aidan, was diagnosed with acute leukemia. Corinne's mommy Jen is a friend of mine from college. They live in Houston and are at MD Anderson Hospital where they will be undergoing treatment. Here is a website that has been set up with information and updates. Please pray for Corinne, her parents, and the doctors and nurses that will be treating her. We love you Corinne!

Aidan's School Picture
Here is Aidan's latest school picture. I remember having a crayon backdrop once when I was in school. Some things never go out of style ;) Aidan's doing great and can count to ten (I have a video but I'm having trouble uploading it)! He is starting to test his boundaries with us a little and has become familiar with his time-out spot in the dining room. Despite that, he continues to be a sweet boy and makes us laugh every day!

The Brooks Family
On Saturday we drove from Crawford to Waco to hang out with the Brooks family, including new addition Baby James. He is 5 days younger than Avery (they were SUPPOSED to have the same birthday, but if you remember, Avery was a little impatient!). Jenna and I went to the Spirit Shop to get some new Baylor shirts for the kids and then we tried our best to take a few pictures. We had a lot of fun with them. They are moving from Austin to Waco soon so we are so excited they will be living closer!

Fun in Crawford
The kids and I went to Daddy's office on Friday, and from there we went to Crawford to see Grandpa, Nanna, and Jacob. There is a lot of room to run and play so Aidan had a great time. He got to see Kathleen's horses up close and play with Bogey and Pippen the dogs. He is such an outdoor boy - he plays very hard, then sleeps very hard :) Avery loved her first trip out of town and took a nice nap on Grandpa's chest this morning.

Tummy Time
Here are some pics of Avery on her tummy. She usually doesn't like to stay there very long, but she's getting better! She loves the big exercise ball and riding on our knees. Aidan is usually around to "help", although sometimes we have to remind him to share with Sissy. I think he recognizes his baby toys that she is now using. She is starting to notice him (and everyone!) more, and loves to watch him when he's busy playing. And he is always happy to give her a kiss. They are such a sweet pair! I try to get pictures of them together all the time, but she's so wobbly and he's such a busybody that it's pretty challenging to get a good shot. Here's a rare picture of them both looking at the camera!

Pictures from last week
I've been walking with the kids lately, now that the weather is getting a little nicer. Avery is able to sit forward in her stroller now! Sometimes I get the double-stroller out and let Aidan ride, but other times he prefers to walk along with me and push his lawn mower. This past week we baby-sat for his friend Brooke from church, while her mommy was in the hospital having twins! Aidan's friend Taylor is also becoming a big sister this week. I guess I missed out, because 2008 is becoming the Year of the Baby!

A new baby on the way!
Ha ha, it's not what you think. We are very content (and busy!) with our family of four :) But we are excited to announce that Aidan and Avery have a new cousin on the way! Aunt Amy and Uncle Cody are having a baby in early July! They went for a 20-week sonogram today and they are pretty sure they are having a girl. Avery is really excited because they will be close in age. Here are some pictures...she is sucking her thumb in the first one. We can't wait to meet her!

Naps in Funny Places
Avery and I had a "girls day" at home on Saturday while the boys drove to Waco for the Baylor basketball game. After "flying" on my knees a little, I put her in her exersaucer so I could check a little email, and after a few minutes she laid her head down and took a short nap! Seeing this reminded me of when Aidan fell asleep in his Johnny Jump-Up at this age so I'm attaching that picture as well, just for laughs :)

Bye-bye Grammy!
My mom flew home today and here are some pics from her visit. Last night we all went to Babe's (yummy!!!!) for an early Valentine's Day dinner. Avery tried out the door jumper and liked it, although she was still a little unsure of what to do. Aidan also loved the watercolor book that Grammy brought for him. We miss you already, Grammy!

A Day with the Jolly Family
Grammy has been in town this week and yesterday we spent the day in Weatherford to hang out with the Jolly family! I had a great time with my favorite aunts and cousins ever, and Avery got to meet Mema! My cousin Barb and her two kids Tyler and Clara didn't get to come because Clara was sick, so we missed them :( We ate and played games, and Aidan had a BLAST in the backyard running around and playing with Marley the dog. The trampoline was also a huge hit. The kids also took their very first bath together! They both had such a fun day that they crashed in the car on the way home last night. Thank you Aunt Marsha for hosting us :)
