Raunchy Ranch Weekend Part 2

Since there's no pool and it was so hot, we each brought individual blow-up pools to sit in one day, and the next day we went to the "beach" at Lake Whitney. Keeping it classy as always! We had a favorite things party, had a belated birthday cake for Stephanie, and we even had a hobby horse competition for fun...I missed out on that part because I was busy helping Jen navigate her way to the ranch after she followed a wrong link I'd sent her (sorry Jen!). Melody was the MVP of the weekend...she set up and judged the hobby horse competition, helped to fix the hot water/gas situation, and also brought an inflatable friend named Chester! Jen and Tracey and I all went to bed before the rest of the girls Saturday night, and they made a movie of Chester's adventures around the ranch - he had some drinks, laid out in Tracey's swimsuit, and even fixed the water heater! We were dying laughing about it the next day, and I'm sure Chester will join us next time!

Raunchy Ranch Weekend Part 1

Since we added a bunk house at our ranch bringing our bedroom total to 6, I thought it would be so fun to invite my friends out for a girls' weekend! It started as just my neighbor friends, then my mom friends (only Tracey could make it), and even Jen drove up from Houston, and it was really having old friends meet new ones! Everyone chipped in for meals, snacks, drinks, etc! I brought cowboy hats and gifts for everyone, and Melody brought hilariously raunchy trucker hats as well! On Thursday night Jennifer dragged us to a hole-in-the-wall dive bar where we were completely out of place and met some very interesting locals! The girls all loved playing shuffleboard in the party barn, going on nature walks to see the cows and horses, and even watching the hummingbirds! Other than a gas/hot water shortage on Friday which was fixed quickly (no one was bothered by it, except me!) it was the most incredible weekend and I am already planning next year's getaway!

Jollypalooza Part 2

Each branch of the family was in charge of a dinner, and no one does meals like the Jollys! I ordered matching shirts for everyone so we wore them one night and took lots of pics. We also scattered Uncle Reggie's ashes at the McCabin which was so special. He is so incredibly missed but we know he will always be with us at the McCabin. We missed Tyler, Clara, and Emma, but it was so wonderful to be with everybody else in our family's happy place!

Jollypalooza Part 1

We spent our much-anticipated Jollypalooza in Ruidoso this year! There was major flooding in the days prior so we were worried that would affect our plans, but thankfully it didn't! Usually Jollypalooza is just the cousins but this year we invited the "old people" to come. Also in attendance were Summer and Stella (we had to rent a big SUV to fit everyone and our stuff!). Stella loved the mountains and meeting other dog cousins, and everyone was so excited to meet Summer! We all gathered for dinner but during the day we all did our own thing whether it was shopping, disc golf, hanging out at the brewery, and Daniel and I even snuck off to get a couples massage and do a little gambling at the casino!
