Road Trip

Avery had been to camp and Daniel and I had been to Belize, but I felt bad that Aidan hadn't really gone anywhere this summer. So I made a reservation at Hyatt Lost Pines outside Austin and took the kids for a night while Daniel stayed home to work. We stopped by Waco to walk around Baylor for a bit, and then we spotted a Titanic exhibit was on display at the Mayborn museum! We had just watched the movie with the kids a few days earlier so Avery was very excited! Aidan wasn't too interested so I let him hang out at the gift shop. Avery and I saw so much and learned a lot! The resort was a lot of fun even with it being SUPER HOT. We didn't take a lot of pictures but had fun!

Grandparent Fun

We were very blessed to have seen all six of the kids' grandparents and all three of their great-parents within the span of two weeks! We made a road trip to see Great-Pa and Gamma, and the rest came for visits. Lots of hugs, laughing, and spoiling! And we got to see their Dixons cousins as well!

4th of July

We went to our old neighborhood for a 4th of July party (and as a bonus I got to go across the street and take a tour of our old house thanks to the sweet new family that lives there!), then stopped by the Dixons' to say hi, and finally went to Daniel's office for a great view of the Fort Worth fireworks!

Summer Fun!

We have had a blast hosting lots of old and new friends at our pool during this hot summer! So far we've enjoyed our Wylie neighbors, my friend Whitney, the kids' friends Ryleigh and Brady, and lots of new school friends! We've also made a few trips over to Dallas to see our buddies, and of course we've done a few cousin sleepover swaps!

Sports, Sports, and more Sports!

While Avery, Daniel, and I were away doing fun stuff, Aidan stayed home with Grandpa and Nanna for a week of sports! He started his first week of strength and conditioning at the high school for middle school sports, did a day and a half of wide receiver camp, had two 7-on-7 football games, and two basketball games (he skipped the third after being tired from a day of wide receiver camp!). Grandpa and Nanna did a LOT of chauffering and cheering him on and we are very appreciative! No rest for the weary when you're gearing up for middle school sports!
