Kicking off Summer

Here is some of what we've done to start off our summer!

We got a new kitchen table, so I'm using the old one as a "craft table" in Daniel's office. LOVE IT. I had a birdhouse laying around that we've never painted so I let the kids have at it:

I've subscribed to Kiwi Crate which has kids' craft activities delivered to your door with all the supplies included. Great for the mom who lacks creativity! The first box we got had a seed-planting set. Aidan and Avery each have bean and squash sprouts to take care of and chart their growth.

Aidan went swimming with his friend Kaelyn! I haven't been able to get in the water because of my cast (which comes off in 2 days) and I am so ready!

Since Avery had a few days of preschool after Aidan's last day, he and I had some Mommy/Son dates. Last week we went to see Pirates: Band of Misfits with our friends Julia and Ryan.

And today he and I went to Legoland!

Say Good-Bye

It's the end of the school year and most of the kids' activities have come to an end for the summer! Avery had her last ballet class, although she still has her recital coming up. Her teacher Miss Marisa is so sweet and is fantastic with little kids! Avery loved dance but I'm putting her back in gymnastics which I think is more her thing :)

She is also done with speech therapy for good! We put her in the speech program back when she was 19 months old and we couldn't get a word out of her (due in part to constant fluid in hear ears which affected her hearing...thank goodness for tubes which have made all the difference in the world!). She has completely made a 180 over the past three years! Her therapist Miss Billie pretty much just ran out of things to work with her on :)

The kids both performed with the preschool choir at church last weekend when Papi and Grammy were here:

Waco/Crawford

We drove down to Central Texas for a fun dose of family and friends this past weekend. The kids LOVE going to Grandpa and Nanna's house which has a pool and lots of animals. Uncle Jacob played with them forever in the pool...I bet he slept as well as the kids did that night!

Daniel and I had a fun night out with our besties Marcus and Jenna in Waco one night, then we all went to church with them Sunday morning.

Kindergarten Graduation

Aidan graduated from kindergarten last night! I feel like we just dropped him off for his first day :) They had a very cute western-themed program showing what they had learned. It was precious...Aidan had three lines and did great! Papi, Grammy, Grandpa, and Nanna were all there to watch with us as well as Tracey and Kaelyn. After the program and graduation we had a reception that the K4 parents helped us organize. All the kids had "memory boards" that their parents had made, and we presented Mrs. Heidelberg with some special gifts. She was an amazing teacher and it was such a good year for Aidan. First grade here he comes!
