Avery's HoCo!

Avery's first Homecoming at Sachse High was so much fun! Spirit week consisted of Pajama Day, Band T-Shirt Day, an FFA Field Trip, Neon Day, and Code Navy Spirit Day when she got to wear her mum and go to the pep rally. My friend Christie (who's the principal's wife!) invited me to go to the pep rally too, and it was a blast! 

We went to the game that night which was so fun because we played against Wylie East, where our neighbors and other friends go! Even though they clobbered us, it was great to be at such a great game and see friends on both sides of the stadium. 

The next day, my friend Kimberly's sweet daughter Ambrielle did Avery's hair and make-up for the dance, and she looked BEAUTIFUL! She went with Lily and another friend and they had so much fun and looked gorgeous!

Aidan's Fall So Far

Aidan was inducted into NHS and we are so proud of him!

He also has had a great football season so far! They've had a few challenges because their main quarterback is out (so they have a freshman filling in) but we have loved watching Aidan make touchdown catches and extra point kicks!

Family Fun

We went in on a Baylor tailgating tent with some friends and it is so much fun! Our fall schedule with football and other stuff makes it hard for us to commit to buying tickets, but can watch the game on TV right outside the stadium! Avery went with her new friend Lily (who's the daughter of my college friend Stephanie!) to the first home game, and when we were there I got to see my buddy Jen!

Our little school had a big night opening our brand new gym, and we all went to the first volleyball game which we won! The gym is in honor of Ally, a student who passed away and the Patriots made her proud. The game was so exciting and the student section was on fire!

Back to School for Aidan!

Aidan started his junior year at Wylie Prep! His class is such a cute group and he's already off to a great start with his grades. Football always keeps him super busy in the fall. He's had two scrimmages and a game so far...we're looking forward to an awesome season!

Back to School for Avery!

Avery made a huge change this year and started high school at Sachse High! She started school a week before Aidan did and it was definitely overwhelming learning to navigate the big high school but she is getting the hang of it! She joined choir and participated in a car wash, joined FFA, started swimming through a new club, and she and I also joined NCL this year and are looking forward to doing service projects together. Youth group activities are keeping her busy as well. She's hitting the ground running with 9th grade and we are so proud of her!
