NYC Part 1

Avery and I FINALLY took our trip to New York to celebrate her 13th birthday, even though she's now 14 1/2 (thanks Covid!). I wanted to wait until Broadway was up and running, and I am SO glad I did! We flew in late Thursday night and went to our first hotel, which was a small bunk-bed room with a tiny bathroom. We had to adjust our trip by a day and it was too pricey to cancel/add a different night to our other hotel, so we decided to do something different the first night and although we felt like we were in steerage on the Titanic, it was really nice and perfect for the 9 hours we were there! The first day we hit the ground running and did all of Midtown...lunch at Ellen's Stardust, Rockefeller Plaza, FAO Schwartz, Radio City, Grand Central Station (we did the whispering corner!), Chrysler Building, Bryant Park, NY Public Library, Times Square (it was raining a little), and dinner at Sardi's. We stopped by the M&M store after dinner which may have been Avery's favorite spot of the day :)

March Extras

 Aidan had his basketball banquet!

The kids had their Fun Run at school, and Sage and Avery did a Jupiter project!

I saw plenty of my friends!

Avery's Class Trip

Avery went on an 8th grade class trip to Austin, Houston, and Galveston!  They went in a cool cave, stopped for bluebonnet pics, went to the NASA simulation center, saw the Ocean Star Oil Rig Museum, saw gators at a gator park, played games and hung out at Stoney Creek Ranch where they stayed, and even got to stop by the beach!

Spring Break Part 2!

Aidan and Daniel hit the slopes on Day Four while I took Avery and Bailee tubing. Our resort didn't have any tubing spots open so we drove to a cheap place nearby and we quickly realized why it was cheap. The hill was kind of small, and the girls had to drag their tubes up themselves. Plus the weather was awful and snow as blowing right in our face. They had fun but I was miserable! On Day Five we headed home. I'm not sure if Avery will try skiing again but we had a GREAT time in the mountains even though it was cold! We had several great meals around our resort, and we even made tacos one night! The Trans are so much fun and were great travel buddies!
