We kicked off the busy month of October with Wylie Prep Homecoming! Monday was Seaside Day and Aidan's "house" picked Shipwrecked for their theme which was perfect since I had just gotten Aidan a "Wilson" t-shirt from Amazon! Wednesday was Musical Day and his house picked Shrek (he and his friends were the three pigs and big bad wolf) while Avery and her friends were Grease pink ladies! Friday was Spirit Day at school, followed by the high school HoCo dance that night for Aidan (pictures, dinner, party bus, dance, swimming after-party made for a LONG but fun night!) and HoCo middle school social for Avery!

September
Nothing huge happened in September, except the first full month of school (and lots of homework) and some football! Aidan and his fellow freshmen are pretty much on the sidelines most of this year watching the older varsity players, but he's still enjoying being part of the team...and we are dominating so far! He was also inducted into the House of Edwards at school. Avery did a Texas History report and bug project, and Aidan and his class are competing against the rest of the high school classes for a "PATS" picture contest! We've even gotten help from family plus some out-of-state (and one out-of-country!) friends! We enjoyed a brief visit from Ruth and Beth, and I squeezed in time with my Wylie neighbors, mom friends, and Jenna, plus a patio lunch date with Daniel!

Back to School!
When the kids left for Spring Break in March, it ended up being the longest school break ever! After distance learning from home and a long summer with camps cancelled, we (I) were so excited to start a new school year! Even though it looks different with masks and social distancing (and shortened days the first 3 weeks), I'm so happy things look a little "normal" for now! Avery is in middle school and Aidan is a high schooler...bring on 7th and 9th grade!
Wrapping Up Summer!
We enjoyed a visit from Papi and Grammy! We introduced them to Dutch Blitz which was the fun game the Denney girls taught us!
