Vegas, Alanis Crossing Style!
We went with a bunch of our old Wylie neighbors to Las Vegas to celebrate the 40th birthdays of three of them! We had a blast...after walking around Friday, a few of us went to see Cirque du Soleil's which was amazing! The next day the guys hung out at a sports bar while the girls all went shopping, sightseeing, and had drinks and hors d'oeuvres at Lisa Vanderpump's cocktail garden, then we met up with the guys and had a very fancy dinner in a private room at Morel's. We stayed at the Venetian for the first time which was amazing, and had a lovely indoor shopping/dining area! After a little daytime gambling and a trip to downtown Vegas the next day, we headed home. This trip almost didn't happen for me and Daniel since we could NOT find anyone to keep our kids and get Aidan to his game that weekend! Luckily his game got rescheduled so Papi and Grammy were able to pick the kids up from school and bring them down to Waco so they could go to Baylor Homecoming with them!
Wylie Prep HoCo!
We celebrated our first Patriot Homecoming with mums, football, cheering, and lots of red and blue! We all went to the varsity game Friday night where Avery cheered, then Aidan's team played the next morning. It was a pretty tough game with lots of minor injuries, including what we thought at first might have been a broken wrist for Aidan but luckily it was just a severe sprain with a deep bone bruise.

PWC Partner Weekend
Daniel and I took a mini-vacay to Scottsdale, AZ for the PWC Partner Weekend. On Friday while the partners are in meetings, the spouses can choose activities to do and I opted out of my planned "Taste of Scottsdale" tour and chose to lounge in a pool cabana instead, followed by a room service lunch! Our friends Justin and Kate were there as well so on Saturday we all shopped and toured around Scottsdale, and even met up with Daniel's aunt Barbara and Uncle Chuck who live right in the city! The brunch we had with them was by far our best meal all weekend. The resort where we stayed was lovely and the weather was nice (no humidity!). It was great to get away!
Cotillion
Avery started cotillion recently with her friend Margot! They looked adorable and although they'd rather be doing anything else, at least they can look back on this and laugh! She's also staying busy with homework (it is NO JOKE this year) and having fun with school friends!
Football, Football, and more Football (and some cheer!)!
Aidan is killin' it this year in football! His team has had a tough season but he has made a ton of amazing plays. We are so proud of him! Go Patriots! We love our adorable cheerleader too! Avery doesn't care for the hot games (who can blame her?) but is having a lot of fun with her squad. We played against our old school GCA few weeks ago and it was a lot of fun to see Aidan's old buddies...most of them started kindergarten together!
