Possum Kingdom

During the second half of our Spring Break, Tracey and I took our kids to Possum Kingdom for a few days of fun and sun since our husbands had to work! We swam in a heated pool, hiked, ate, played games, and had a blast!

Spring Break

We had some GCA friends come sleepover during Spring Break! Hayden and Haylee came out to see us, then we drove them home and met up with some friends in Dallas (and ate at Shake Shack and a brand new place that serves COOKIE DOUGH!), then picked up Avery's friend Olivia for one more sleepover. We also had a quick lunch with our old Wylie neighbors!
We also spent some time at our new ranch! We purchased some land near Whitney, TX and Daniel has been doing lots of work on it (we will build a house on it soon). We took Griffin down and did some fishing! Aidan has even been driving the little jeep!

Black and White Ball

Cotillion is over for the year and Aidan and I had fun at the Black and White Ball! We rented him a tux and he looked SO handsome! The parents got to join in the last hour of the ball so I forced Aidan to dance with me. It's like pulling teeth to get him to dance with ANYONE and I sort of don't blame since this year the girls are all about a foot taller than him. But he and I both had a great time!

Life of Avery

Avery decided to enter an art competition at our new church! She worked on a piece she named "Moonlight Reflections" that was inspired by one of Aunt Kelly's pieces. Kelly was even in town to help Avery paint the tiny dog! Her piece was selected and we got to see it on display at church. We are so proud of her!
Her 4th grade class took a field trip to Austin to see the state capitol and the Bob Bullock Museum! They also stopped in Waco at the Texas Rangers Museum. It was a long day (I had to have her at the school at 6am and they didn't get back until almost 8pm) but she had so much fun!
Her class also performed at Chapel at school, and she and I also went to Fifties Night as well as the high school musical (Anything Goes). I also went to her class's party on Valentine's Day...hard for me to believe that was my last elementary Valentine's Day party!
