Aidan is TEN!

This is hard to believe, but Aidan has hit double digits! We kicked off his birthday by singing to him in bed, serving him breakfast on the red plate, then I got cute birthday donuts that I brought to his class! I also brought him Taco Bueno for lunch.
We went to dinner at Kyoto that night with Aunt Amy and Sage, Logan, and Ellie (Uncle Cody was out of town) and Aunt Lindsay, Uncle Jason, and Jack!
That weekend we had his birthday party at Kick 'Em Soccer Training Facility in Rowlett! All the boys got to play a game of soccer, a game of dodgeball, then enjoyed pizza and cupcakes! Thanks for celebrating with us Brady, Hayden, Connor, Braden, Caden, Andrew, Trapper, Trevor, Josiah, Jeremy, Seth, Jamison, and Nathen!
Aidan is literally my heart walking around in the form of an active, silly, sweet little boy...who's not so little anymore! He is competitive, adventurous, inquisitive, creative, and a natural-born leader among his entourage of his sister, younger cousins, and friends. God blessed us beyond measure by choosing us to be his parents. I hope his day was filled with at least a fraction of the joy he gives us every day. Happy Birthday Aidan!!! We love you so much!!!

Music Recital

The kids had their spring recital through their music school (Avery piano, Aidan guitar) and both of them did awesome! I am so proud of how hard they have practiced all year. They both have teachers that work well with each of their personalities. Thank you Miss Sierra and Mr. Rob!

Troop Beverly Hills Goes Camping!

My co-leader Kimberly and I decided to bite the bullet and take our troop camping! However, we agreed to just do ONE night, and we made it a family event so that dads and siblings could join the fun! The girls had made "sit-upons" at one of our meetings, and also practiced tent setup and talked about camping safety. They were excited and ready! 9 of our 10 girls and their families joined us at Eisenhower State Park where we made trail mix and went on a hike, tried our best to make a campfire (luckily one of our Brownies had an older brother in Boy Scouts who helped us with ours!), roasted hot dogs and s'mores, sang songs and told ghost stories, and slept in our tents! Camping is SO not my thing (or Daniel's), but the kids had SO much fun which made it all worth it. We were thrilled to get home and into a shower though!

4th Grade Field Trip

Aidan's class had a really fun field trip to Rangers Ballpark and Cowboy Stadium! The kids got to tour both places and hang out in cool spots like the Ranger dugout, batting cages, press box, Cowboy locker room, and football field where they got to play and pose on the star! We also loved having his teacher Mr. James there. He left in the middle of the year but was able to come back for the trip. This was definitely a fun trip to chaperone!
