Happy Birthday Avery!!!

Our big girl is EIGHT! I took cupcakes up to school the day before, and that night we had a spa party at our house for all the girls in her class plus a few extra friends. I hired three teenagers from our church to come be beauticians and party helpers. The girls got manicures, pedicures, and facials...even Daddy got a facial! They had pizza, cupcakes, and watched High School musical in their pajamas and then went home. Thanks for celebrating with us, Sage, Ryleigh, Haylee, Andee, Charlotte, Kaitlyn, Siyah, Ayana, Becca, Bella, Margot, and Ambrielle!!

The day after her birthday we went to Babe's with Grandpa and Nanna! Happy Birthday Avery!!!

Grandparents' Day and Arboretum

For Grandparents' Day this year, the kids invited Cookie, Jeff, and Gigi! The grandparents enjoyed a nice breakfast, a presentation from all the classes, and then got to meet their teachers.

The kids were released early and Cookie, Gigi, and Jeff went to visit Baby Jack, so the kids and I went to hang out with Tracey and Kaelyn! Since Kaelyn goes to a university model school, she goes to school Tuesday and Thursday and the other days are homeschool days! We went to lunch with them and then had some fun at the Arboretum. There was a wedding set up, so we convinced Kaelyn and Aidan to pose for what we can only hope will be their wedding picture someday. They were horrified but went along with it :) Tracey and I can dream, right?

More Baylor

We went to another Baylor home game, and we were also able to go to the Baylor/Texas Tech Shootout game at Cowboy Stadium! Marcus's firm has a suite and he invited our family and Grandpa and Nanna to come enjoy it with them. Which we did! Our kids had a blast, the catered food was delicious, the company was fun, and the kids and I even made it onto the Jumbotron! The Bears pulled out a win over Tech so that made it even better. Sic 'Em!

Extra-Curricular

We are back in the swing of things with school activities! Avery and I are starting her first year of Brownies and we are loving it so far! Our troop has one new little girl who replaced one who moved away, and everyone else is returning from last year! We are looking forward to a fun year and the girls have already gotten off to a great start by earning their Snacks badge! They also went to PJ/Movie Night with some other troops.

Music Time! We are very fortunate to have Gigi's piano at our house. Cookie and Jeff very graciously drove it here and I had the perfect place for it in our entry hall. Avery just started piano lessons at a nearby music studio, and Aidan is also starting guitar lessons there as well!

Another season of flag football has started for Aidan! We love this year's uniforms because of the "Sic 'Em Bears" colors! He has played GREAT at his first two games and we are excited for a fun season.
