Disney Part 2: Magic Kingdom continued!!!

On Day 2, we headed back to Magic Kingdom and started off with some meet-and-greets. Avery got to meet Belle, Jasmine, and Sleeping Beauty. This was probably my favorite moment because she was SO mesmerized by them! She had the sweetest smile when she met them, especially Belle!




Next we got to all meet Mickey and Minnie!


Then it was off to Adventureland, starting with the Magic Carpets of Aladdin:

While Aidan, Papi, and Daniel watched a pirate show, Grammy and I took Avery over to meet Ariel and Prince Eric. This was our "Pirates & Princesses" Day so she had her princess shirt on, but it was long-sleeved (and it was HOT!) so she had to get a wardrobe change after the morning meet-and-greets. I really wish I had thought to bring her Sleeping Beauty costume, so many girls had princess dresses on! :

Disney Part 1: Magic Kingdom!!!

Some pictures from our whirlwind trip from Disney! There's no way I'll be able to do one post, so I'm going to do it gradually. Here's Day 1 at Magic Kingdom!!

I was a huge nerd and had a "theme" for the kids' shirts each day. I had personalized Mickey and Minnie shirts made (thank you Etsy) for Day 1:

Disney or Bust!

We've been planning a Disney trip for several months and we leave tomorrow!!! The kids knew we were going at some point but weren't sure when. I just told them we were going tomorrow and they're totally excited. I posted a video of Aidan reading (with lots of help) the surprise. My parents are coming with us...we'll be in Orlando for five nights (four full days at the parks), then a beach house with them in Ft. Lauderdale for three more nights. Stay tuned for pics!!

Baylor Homecoming

Aidan and I hadn't been able to make it to any of the Baylor games this year (Daniel took Avery to one, but Aidan had a couple of birthday parties he didn't want to miss) so we were really looking forward to Homecoming this year! Our plans to stay with the Brookses fell through when their kiddos got sick, so we stayed in Crawford with Grandpa and Nanna. We got up early on Saturday for the parade which we always go to...but it was MUCH colder than I was expecting, plus not having our friends there wasn't any fun! So before the parade even started, I shut it down and back to the car we went. Since the game wasn't until 6pm (a dumb time for Homecoming, but I guess TV dollars are more important), I wished they could have moved the parade a little later when it got warmer. But hey, they don't consult me. Anyway, we did park where we could somewhat see the parade, so we enjoyed our breakfast kolaches and stayed warm. We went back to Crawford until game time (Daniel and I actually took a nap while the kids played...thank goodness for grandparents!!), then met up with the recuperating Brookses for the game. The Bears played great and we stayed almost until the very end (we left a few minutes early to beat traffic). The kids did awesome and crashed on the way home. It was kind of a low-key year and I didn't see any of my KD sisters (except Casi in the stadium bathroom!), but it was still fun :) Sic 'Em Bears!!!
