Happy Easter!!

Papi, Grammy, and Uncle Jason were here for Easter weekend! This week has been an egg hunt overload...Aidan and Avery hunted for eggs with our Mom's Club earlier this week, and then again at MDO on Thursday. On Saturday they went to a birthday party where we hunted for more eggs...we were planning to go to our church's egg hunt that morning too, but decided to skip it. We went to church this morning and then found out that the Easter Bunny had visited our house while we were gone (I didn't take pictures because we need to weed so bad)! Needless to say we have a few dozen eggs if you want any! After we hunted for eggs we enjoyed a delicious meal that Grammy had made. Happy Easter!

More Soccer Tots

Daddy took off early one afternoon to come watch Avery in action at Soccer Tots. She has one more class left! She is not exactly the most skilled or disciplined 2-year-old in the class but hey, she's 2! At least she is getting exercise and having fun :)

Fossil Rim

This past Saturday we got to go to Fossil Rim with Daniel's family. It was so neat...his mom's husband gave us a personalized tour and we got to see tons of really cool animals up close. Several of them came right up to the van to eat out of our hands. Halfway through the tour we stopped to have lunch and visit a petting zoo which Avery loved! The kids both conked out on the way home :)

Go Bears!!!

This past Friday Daniel and I drove down to Houston with some friends to the Baylor basketball game against St. Mary's. We were ahead by several points the whole time so it wasn't that exciting, and our seats were pretty crummy, but we had a great time. We dropped Aidan and Avery off in Crawford and they had fun with Grandpa and Nanna. Daniel went back down to Houston today for the Baylor/Duke game which was MUCH more exciting (so close until the very end!) but we lost :( We're still proud of our Bears!

Some random pics

Here are some miscellaneous things we've been up to. Our Spring Break was very low-key...March is REALLY busy for Daniel because it's right before tax season, so it was mostly me and the kids.

We lounged around at home a little:

We went to the park so Aidan could practice riding his tricycle. He may get a small bike with training wheels for his birthday!

We played with our friends Rhett, Wyatt, and Bryce in Allen:

Aunt Lindsay came with us to an outdoor concert in Allen one evening:

We combined two of Aidan's favorite things (pizza and cooking) by making our own Chef Boyardee pizza one night:

We woke up to the most random snowfall EVER on Sunday morning! This was after my kids played outside with short sleeves Friday afternoon (and they're doing the same thing today...go figure!)

Happy St. Patty's!

We celebrated St. Patrick's Day by going bumper bowling with some of our buddies! My kids both lost interest halfway through but it was still fun. Afterwards we went to Dairy Queen for lunch and got a blizzard to share :)

Mommy's Weekend Off

This past weekend several of my best mom buddies and I decided we needed and deserved a mini-vacation. We booked a couple of hotel rooms downtown and enjoyed some fun Dallas activities! This ended up being not your typical lunch/movie/shopping girl's trip...this was a VERY fun and creative group so our weekend consisted of:

*Dinner at Cowboy Chow (yum)
*Clubbing downtown
*Sleeping in - yay! (Two of the girls got up and participated in a 5K...impressive!)
*Riding the Dart to the St. Patty's Day parade on Greenville
*Having a post-parade lunch at an Irish pub
*Doing a progressive dinner at some trendy restaurants in the Bishop Arts District
*Brunching at La Duni in Northpark

We celebrated our freedom by partying like crazy missed our kids terribly ;) It was definitely a full weekend and hopefully we can make it an annual event. Thanks Tracey, Jennifer, Ginny, Kimberly, Susan, and Vanessa for a fantastic time!

Rusty and Toby

We spent part of this past weekend in Crawford where we got to see Aunt Kathleen's horses. Then we hung out with the Brookses the next day, and Daddy went to the Baylor basketball game with Marcus and Grandpa (Aidan was going to go too, but then decided he wanted to stay and play with Katy, Hannah, and James!).
