Papi and Grammy

Grammy and Papi have been visiting this past week and Aidan has had so much fun with them! He even got to spend the night with them by himself while Daniel and I stayed at a bed & breakfast in Granbury last night. Aidan "helped" Papi and Daddy put together a dresser the other day and today he played with the water hose in the backyard (minus his clothes). Grammy also made a house for him to play in...or more accurately, to sit in. Papi went home today but Grammy will be here until Wednesday!

Some big shoes to fill...

Aidan got a kick out of trying on Daddy's shoes the other day. I think it will be a while before he can really wear them!

Cunningham Reunion

We're back after a week of traveling around Central Texas! Daniel and Aidan spent a few days in Crawford while I had a "girls trip" with my friend Jenna to the Hyatt Resort near Austin. Since she's due a day before me, we enjoyed getting prenatal massages and just being big and lazy for a couple of days! Meanwhile, Aidan LOVED walking around Grandpa and Nanna's place. He played with the dogs, saw Aunt Kathleen's horses up close, and did plenty of swimming. I'll post pictures from that leg of the trip later. These pictures are from Comanche, which is where we went after Crawford, for the Cunningham Reunion. It was hot but that didn't stop Aidan from being in his typical outdoor explorer mode. He had plenty of quality time with GiGi, Cookie, Uncle Cody, Aunt Amy, and Aunt Lindsay. He did great on the trip but we are SO glad to be home!

29 Weeks!

Here's the latest belly shot! The baby has REALLY started moving over the last few days. Chasing after Aidan and doing everyday things is getting pretty tough but I'm hanging in there.

The Circus Has Come to Town

We went to the Ringling Brothers Circus on Thursday. Here are some pictures from our fun-filled day. We rode the Dart (a new experience for Aidan) downtown, then caught a cab (also a first for Aidan) to the American Airlines Center where the circus was. Aidan and the rest of the kids from our Mom's Club got to see the animals march down the street before we went in to sit down. Aidan and Kaelyn were too busy trying to kiss each other to notice the animals much! Once the show started Aidan was interested for a little while, but there was so much to see and take in that he fell asleep in Grammy's lap in the middle of the first act! He woke up as the second act started but we decided to leave shortly after that. We all took a good nap when we got home!

Grammy's here!

Aidan has been having a blast with Grammy this past week. It's been a very special visit because he has finally just started to say a few words! Other than "mama" and "daddy" his favorite word is "dat" which is his word for cat that he says whenever Mac the cat walks by, or if he sees a cat in a book. He also says "up," "ba ba" for bye-bye (complete with a wave), "yay!" (complete with clapping), "ma" for more (complete with the sign for more!) and is working on lots of other words. Even though it's just a handful of words, I can tell that he understands plenty and it will just be a matter of time before he is talking up a storm. My friend Sarah brought Rhett and Wyatt over the other day to play. The twins were both wearing the same shirt I had bought Aidan to wear for this past Valentine's Day, so of course we had to change Aidan's shirt and take some pictures :)

First Kiss

Aidan and Kaelyn have been flirting ever since they met a year ago, and Kaelyn recently made the first move at Chuck E. Cheese! Aidan has been giving his own kisses to us lately too (I guess he learned from Kaelyn!). They're open-mouthed and slobbery, but so sweet! He is looking forward to giving Grammy a kiss when she comes to visit tomorrow.

Daddy the Barber

Aidan has been a victim of "sweaty head" all summer so we decided to literally take matters into our own hands. He got a Daddy-style trim (ignore the ring around the tub) and now his hair looks so much better! I'm kicking myself for not thinking to do this earlier in the summer, but better late than never. We went to a baby shower with our Sunday School friends so Aidan got to show off his new 'do for his buddies.

Serious Aidan

Cookie and GiGi came to visit this past weekend to celebrate Uncle Cody's birthday. These are a couple of cute pictures from Cookie's camera.

Dallas Aquarium

Today we went to the Dallas Aquarium (with our Little Gym friends, again!). Aidan got to see penguins, flamingos, turtles, stingrays, lots of really neat fish, a tiger, and even a shark! I didn't get a lot of good pictures but here are a few that I took. It was a fun but loooong day!!

Flight Museum

Today we ventured to the Frontiers of Flight Museum near the airport with some of our friends from Little Gym. There was so much to see and do! They had a huge hangar area with tons of actual planes to look at, as well as a great toddler area to play. Aidan was totally in his element and enjoyed every minute.

New belly shot

Here I am at 24 weeks today. I'm officially in the third trimester now, although this trimester will be longer than the other two. We have our c-section scheduled for October 22nd. Won't be long!

Summer Fun

We got our money's worth out of Aidan's swim trunks this weekend! We went to a birthday party for our friends Tate and Emmy on Saturday. Aidan had a blast swimming in the pool with Daddy. Last night we had a get-together with our church group at a splash park. Aidan and his friend Bryce found out what happens when you get too curious - you get sprayed in the face! Aidan also tried out his first watermelon but seemed to like eating the rind more than the good part! If that wasn't enough swimming, we went back to the same water park this morning with our Mom's Club :)

4th of July in Waco

We hung out in Waco with Aunt Jenna, Uncle Marcus, and Aidan's "cousins" Katy and Hannah. We are also expecting a new "cousin" named James right about the time Aidan is getting a new brother or sister! It actually didn't rain too much while we were in Waco, so the kids got to go to a parade in the morning. Then we had a birthday party for Katy, who turns 4 in a few days :) Aidan and Katy didn't make it to the fireworks show which started at 10:00. Only Hannah stayed strong! I'm also attaching a picture from Cookie's visit this past weekend.
